Born in Colorado and raised in Alaska, Heidi is continually shaped by vast spaces and a personal connection to nature. Her experience as a yoga practitioner and instructor, artist, and outdoor enthusiast spurs and feeds her understanding of the way movement, creativity and physical vitality intersect. In 2007 she received her BFA in ceramics from the University of Alaska Anchorage.  Upon exiting academia, Heidi spent ample time outdoors and worked to gain experience in the food industry as a barista, cook, baker and server.  It was during this time, through her own challenges of caring for her body amidst a work hard/play hard lifestyle, that she sought connection and embodiment. Through the quest to feel more at ease in her body, Heidi discovered yoga as a modality to build physical strength and connection while acknowledging and cultivating emotional and spiritual balance. She received her Yoga Teacher Certification from Ana Forrest in 2010.  Practicing yoga and instructing others sparked an excitement and awareness of the possibilities that we all possess for change, potential and health.  In 2014 Heidi became a Certified Rolfer® through The Rolf Institute of Structural Integration and in 2019 she completed training to become a Certified Advanced Rolfer®.  She has continued to expand her Rolfing skills through completion of a certification program and advanced studies in Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy. Heidi lives in Hatcher Pass, Alaska. She continues to feed her creativity and produce wearable and functional art. Learn more about her current creative endeavors at http://www.wolfandrove.com.
