The Ten Series was designed, by Dr. Ida Rolf, to balance the body in gravity in through a brilliant sequence of focused sessions.

Sessions 1-3:  Introductory sessions that prepare the body to go deeper into the series by loosening areas of restriction in the body and beginning to establish new patterns of organization.

Session 1: Working around shoulders and ribcage, we are encouraging and helping the breath to move freely and easily.

Session 2: Working with the feet and lower legs to establish and awaken optimal support for the body in motion and rest.

Session 3: We work the sides of the body- basically the line that you see when you look at your profile. This closes the first grouping of the series by inviting a three dimensional quality to the body as we prepare to move deeper.

Sessions 4-7:  These are called the core sessions.  In these sessions we work specifically throughout the body to continue to free restrictions and facilitate a new sense of balance.

Session 4:  The territory for this session is from the arch of the foot up to the pelvis to awaken a sense of "core" all the way down to the feet.

Session 5:  We work in and around the abdomen to continue to awaken and enliven the deeper  core structures and their relationship of support to the rest of the body.

Session 6:  In this session we address the of the body from the pelvis up the back to balance and continue the core work from Session 5.

Session 7:  In the final session of the "Core" portion of the series we continue up to the head and neck to find optimal balance flow through the entire body.

Sessions 8-10: The final sessions of the series are Integration sessions.  Integration happens within the context of each and every session with the final sessions emphasizing this aspect.  Integration is what allows you to live and move in your newly organized body in a full and easy way.

Sessions 8 & 9:  These sessions focus on balancing the upper and lower portions of the body as the Rolfer sees necessary.   In these two sessions we are continuing and closing the work of the previous sessions to leave you at an optimal place at the end of your series.

Session 10: The final session in the series is the apex of integration- leaving you feeling whole and complete to enjoy the changes that your body has undergone for weeks, months and years to come.
